Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Aurora.

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

    Sarah is the owner/photographer of Photowalking Colorado. Originally from Alaska, she has been in Colorado since 1985. She's been traveling throughout this beautiful state by car and by foot for almost 40 years. Eight years ago, she picked up a camera to start documenting her journeys.

    After a very long career in the software industry, she's now a full-time photographer. She enjoys just about any type of photography, and specializes in landscapes, astrophotography, and epic portrait photography. She's at her best when she's contributing as a coach, mentor, and community builder.

And I was walking my dog Colby when we went into a local zen garden and we were going to look at some stone art that local mentality disabled people do for that zen garden and this year they have put in flowers and I thought that tulip looked so beautiful I had to capture it with my camera so it can stand the test of time and last forever in our memories!

    It was extremely cold (around 20 degrees(f)) even with the Sun out. This Red-Tail Hawk was sitting on the lower branches of a tree near the roadway just looking around. The photograph was taken with a Sony A7IV, Sony 100-400mm GM Lens, with an ISO-500, 1/1250 Sec, f/8 configuration. It was just the right angle of light to get the Red-Tail. The only post processing was converting the image from an ARW (Sony RAW file) to a JPG file and reducing the size to conform to the rules listed above.

    Thank you for the consideration.Background to this photo.A couple of years ago on our local community page I saw a photo of a tree covered in bioluminescent fungi saying it was found in Gerroa, 5 minutes drive from me. Wow how amazing, so I set out to find it and photography it too. Since then I developed an interest in fungi and look forward to Autumn when there is plenty about.     Mesa Arch is about a 25 minute walk from the parking lot in Canyonland National Park. At night, it's the darkest sky I've ever seen. This photo represents 20 stacked images of the Milky Way combined together in Starry Landscape Stacker. The result required the scene to be slightly brightened in post to bring out the foreground.
